This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Keurig® . All opinions and text are my own.

Our Keurig® coffee maker is used daily in the Hamby household. We've had our Keurig® coffee maker for 5 years and the truth is I've never shown it on my blog or social media because I was never proud of how my coffee space was set up. I always wanted a cute little coffee bar but I didn't want anything that took up too much counter space and never knew how to achieve a cute coffee bar that also had little surface area.

I was excited when I saw the newest Keurig® was a Keurig® K-Compact™ Single Serve Coffee Maker that has a smaller profile! Available exclusively at Walmart, the Keurig® K-Compact™ coffee maker has the same functionality we love from Keurig®, but takes up less real estate…AND is only $59…SCORE! I started brainstorming some small coffee area ideas and I'm so thrilled to show you how it turned out!

So after getting the new Keurig® K-Compact™ Coffee Maker , the next problem to address was this eye sore of a storage drawer. There are tons of cute K-Cup® pod storage ideas out there but honestly I love the functionality of the drawer and that it also minimizes counter space.

So here it is, the before and after!

I love that I still keep the functionality but now I love how it looks!

Supplies

Supplies:

Lumber – based on the size of your drawer

Wood Glue

Right Angle Brackets

Stain/Paint to suit your style

Here are the Steps:

Step 1: Cut the Lumber to fit around your K-Cup® pod drawer. It helped me to lay my drawer down on top of the large piece to help measure and determine how it would all fit together. It's really just the top, two sides and the back piece (which could be optional). You can always have these pieces cut at the hardware store if you don't have the tools necessary.

Step 2: Glue the pieces in place using wood glue and clamp to dry. You could secure with a nail gun but it isn't necessary.

Step 3: Stain or paint to suit your style. I used dark walnut stain. You could stop here really but I did a couple other things to really spruce up this drawer.

Spray paint the drawer and two right angle brackets to match. I used Rustoleum Metallic Gold, which is a gold/brass spray paint.

Step 4: Attach the right angle brackets and place wooden shelf over your drawer!

I really love our new little coffee bar area! It is smaller and I really like that the water reservoir on the Keurig® K-Compact™ is on the back to save space. As far as the drawer makeover, it was such a simple DIY and I love that you can customize the finish of the drawer to suit your style and kitchen and still have the functionality!

And don't forget to stock your new drawer with some great K-Cup® pods. We're fans of The Original Donut Shop® Coffee (extra bold and so flavorful!) and the seasonal Green Mountain Coffee® Pumpkin Spice Coffee
